Front Cover designs
For the front covers of our last four issues, I have helped with coming up with the ideas to go with my centerspreads along with writing the teasers on the side.
For each front cover, my co-chief and I have meet with our photography editors, graphics editor, and advisor to discuss how we want the front covers to look. This is done at the very beginning of the month once the centerspread story is decided.

Design
I started to design pages at the end of my junior year, and a few issues from this school year. I've designed mostly with graphics and have collaborated with our graphics editor in order to create a graphic that works well with the story.
This page is the most recent page I've designed. I met with the graphics editor to come up with an idea to go along with the story. I had to cut out and crop the graphic in order for it to fit in the story and on the page.
This page was published in our fourth issue. For the Here and Now side bar, I found events happening at Wando, and then also researched events happening in Charleston for people to find out about. I wrote the cutline for the picture, and picked the color for the sidebar.
This page was published in the third issue of this year. I did not write or create the graphic, however, I did cut the graphic out in order for the river and price tag to be closer to the text.
This page was published in the first issue of this year. I cut out this graphic and a few stars individually in order for the graphic to flow throughout the page. I had the idea for the graphic to separate the two reviews, but also relate to both of the reviews. The stars go with the "Guts" review, and the darker music notes go with the Zach Bryan review.
This was the first page I designed and it was published in the final issue of my junior year. I wrote the story and side bar, along with designing the page. The pictures for this story originally did not work out, so I had to collaborate with the graphics editor very last minute to get something to work with the story.
